Jimma University graduates 97 in Maters degree from its campus from Campus at ABH SERVICES in Addis Ababa

10th July 2016 (Addis Ababa): - Jimma University (JU) graduates a total of 139 post graduate students for the second time at Jimma University ABH Campus, Addis Ababa on Sunday July 10, 2016 at Sheraton Addis Hotel.

 

The class of 2016 in Master of Business Administration (MBA) and Master of Public Health have attended classes for the past two years at ABH Campus in Addis Ababa.

 

Jimma University, Pioneer in its Community Based Education Philosophy, has come to Addis Ababa to offer quality education to the residents of Addis Ababa and its surrounding. Since then a lot of students have enrolled and started attending classes while working. The first batch 97 students graduated with second degree in 2015.

 

Professor Fikre Lemessa, President of Jimma University, stated that the university assigns senior and experienced instructors and inspects the quality regularly. The President confirmed that the University exerts its potential to enhance the coverage of quality higher Education in the country. He also stressed on the importance of strengthening public private wing relationship and collaboration.

 

Dr. Markos Feleke, CEO of ABH Services Plc, on his part states that the coming of Jimma University to Addis Ababa has brought a high demand for need based post graduate programs. He also confirmed that preparation is completed to initiate additional post graduate programs in Master of Public Relations and corporate communication (MA) and Master of Health monitoring and Evaluation (MSc.) “Registration is going on” said the CEO.

 

The 2016 JU-ABH, Addis Ababa campus graduates have acquired through theoretical and practical knowledge during their stay. The students through their Development Team Training Program (DTTP) performed practical activities to alleviate some critical problems of them community in some parts of Addis Ababa city and handed over their projects to the community.

 

The total number of class of 2016 is 139 and out of this 45 are females.

 

 

High ranking government dignitaries, senate members of the University, partners, students’ families and other invited guests will avail themselves at the commencement.
